Find a Matter Fast

You can quickly find a Matter in the Matter List using one of several methods.

Find a Matter with QuickPik

Typically you know the name of the Matter, so QuickPik is the fastest method. Simply open the Matter List and start typing the first characters of the Matter Name:

As you type a Matter Name, your characters appear in the QuickPik pop-up. The highlight moves to the first matching Matter. Keep typing to refine your selection.

Find a Matter Using the Search Matters Field

The Search Matters field appears in the upper left area of the Matter List. You can type any part of a Matter Name in this field to find a Matter. This method differs from the QuickPik, which only searches by the first word or continuous string of letters starting with the first letter.

It you don’t remember the exact Matter Name, the Matter Search field can find your Matter by filtering the list on any string of characters.

The Search field appears at the top of other Main Lists in Time Matters, too; however, you may find the you need to delete words such as , “Search Contacts,” before entering your search term.

More Search Tools

Time Matters has other powerful Search tools.

The Search Entry field can be added to your Main Toolbar. It shows up as a field with containing text “Search All Records.” The Search Entry field allows you to search through almost every word in your Time Matters database. You may use Boolean operators if you like: and, or, not. The wildcards asterisk (*) and question mark (?) are supported. Check the Help

The Search Submenu in the Main Menu bar offers a variety of searching options.
